Welcome to the part of our website set up just for young people aged 13-16. In this section we will challenge some of the myths you may have heard about sex and relationships and answer some of the questions you may be wondering about but might be afraid to ask.

Just because we talk about sex and relationships it does not mean that everyone who is reading these pages is having sex or thinking about having sex soon. What we know is that most young people are not having sex before the age of 16 (even if they say they are). By giving you the best possible information now we hope this will help you make informed, risk and pressure free choices when you are ready to start a relationship and possibly think about sex.

We will cover all sorts of topics from how your body might be changing to, being with a boyfriend or girlfriend (partner), to breaking up, keeping safe online and why people have sex. This is only a guide to help you think about relationships and sex, you may also find it helpful talk to an adult you trust. Although if you have any more questions, you can also let us know by asking a question in our Q&A section.

Remember if you or another young person are worried about something you can contact Childline on 0800 11 11 or visit the Childline  website for more info.
