Why do I need to use contraceptives?

Answer:

Unless you want to get pregnant you should use contraception when having sex. Condoms can also prevent you from catching or passing on a sexually transmitted infection.

Myth: Peeing after sex reduces my chances of getting pregnant
Truth:

Peeing may remove some of the sperm around the outside of the vagina but it will not remove any sperm inside it. Trying to clean inside the vagina is also not effective in preventing pregnancy since sperm can already be too far inside the vagina.

Had unprotected sex?

If you have had unprotected sex this puts you at risk of catching a sexually transmitted infection.
