Most countries around the world agree and have child protection laws in place to help protect children. However, there are still certain cultures in the world where young girls especially are ‘legitimately’ married off to much older men.
Legally you are still considered a child until you are 16; however offences against under 13 year olds are often viewed as far more seriously. Be aware – in terms of films and images it is illegal to take explicit images of anyone who is or looks under 18, even if you are sending it to a friend for a laugh.

Popping your Cherry:

Is another term for losing your virginity. It specifically refers to the idea of a girl bleeding when her hymen (her cherry) is broken when she has sex for the first time. However this nonsense!
Some people believe that the vagina is originally covered with a very thin membrane called the hymen, which is broken the first time you have sex and this is what causes a girl to bleed. In some cultures they still hang the dirty bed-sheets from the wedding night on the line to prove to the neighbours that the bride was still a virgin until she was married.
The trouble is this is simply not true! Think about it, how would a girl’s period come out if her vagina was covered in a thin piece of skin? What’s more some girls would be losing their virginity to tampons if that was the case!
Whist the hymen does exist it already has a hole in it. Most girls when they are born or very young infants will have already have broken the thin membrane without any issue, just from moving around. The reason that some girls may bleed the first time they have sex has NOTHING to do with the hymen; it has everything to do with her natural sexual responses not quite working properly.
The fact is there is no reason why any girl should bleed the first time she has sex… if things feel sore at all – stop, slow down and move back a few steps. Sex is not a race; take your time to enjoy all the lead up, not just seeing sex as the main event.
